Gorakhpur, Oct 10 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today stated that the synergy of robust infrastructure, a business-friendly environment, and strong law and order has made the state an undeniable destination for global investments.
CM Yogi was addressing the official inauguration ceremony of the UP-Trade Show Swadeshi Mela at Champa Devi Park in Gorakhpur. The fair aims to promote local products and strengthen small industries across the state.
"Today, Uttar Pradesh has an excellent infrastructure, ease of doing business, and an exemplary law and order situation," the Chief Minister said. "The synergy of these factors has attracted significant investments from across India and the world. Today, Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a key driver of the nation’s development."
The Chief Minister noted that Swadeshi Melas are being organised in every district of the state. This follows the UP International Trade Show held in Greater Noida from September 25 to 29, which showcased products from over 2,250 entrepreneurs.
"More than 500 foreign buyers attended the trade show, where products worth Rs 11,200 crore were sold," he announced. He stated that this success reflects the "new Uttar Pradesh," which has shed its status as a BIMARU state.
CM Yogi asserted that the establishment of enterprises generates employment, improves connectivity, and benefits the general public. He claimed that before 2017, establishing an enterprise in UP was merely a dream due to lawlessness.
"After 2017, under the double-engine government, a tremendous atmosphere of security was ensured. A zero-tolerance policy was adopted," he said. The government simplified rules, improved Ease of Doing Business, and waived the NOC requirement for MSME startups for 1,000 days.
He confirmed that the state now has 96 lakh active MSME units, providing jobs and employment to 20 million people.
CM Yogi appealed to all citizens to use only Swadeshi products. He cautioned that profits from foreign goods could be used against the country for "terrorism, Naxalism, and separatism."
"When we adopt Swadeshi, we honour the hard work of artisans and craftsmen. Through Swadeshi, the nation’s wealth will remain within the country," he remarked.
The Chief Minister assured that a bigger platform will be provided for Swadeshi products in the coming time. He also distributed crores of rupees in incentives under the state’s Textile Policy and loan amounts to young entrepreneurs under the CM Yuva Udyami Yojana.
